We purchase instruments outright or as trade-ins on instruments purchased from us. If you are interested in trading in or selling an instrument, please send us an e-mail with a detailed description of the instrument including:
*Brand Name
*Model
*Serial Number
*Age
*Mechanical Condition (pads, springs, corks, slides, valves, etc.)
*Body (dents, dings, scratches, cracks whether repaired or not)
*Cosmetic (Condition of lacquer or silver plate, etc. -- amount of wear and location)
*Condition of case
*Asking Price
The more accurate and detailed your description is the better able we'll be to give you a fair estimate of what we can pay for your instrument. All offers are, of course, subject to actual inspection of the instrument once we have received it. Please do not ask us for appraisals on instruments. It is not possible to give appraisals without actually seeing (and sometimes playing) an instrument. It is also important to understand that all instruments that we purchase will be fully reconditioned before being sold. For this reason we, obviously, cannot purchase instruments at retail prices.
